Disher Creek

The construction of new infrastructure at Disher Creek has enabled the delivery of Commonwealth Environmental Water to the most southerly environmental site managed by RIT.

The freshwater flush in the Summer of 2021 aided the breeding of the endangered Murray hardyheads in the Creek. The breeding program is managed by the Murraylands and the Riverland Landscape Board who co-ordinated the fresh water flush, in close cooperation with the Trust employees who oversaw the dispersal of water into the Creek.
